New Flexible Glass for Gadgets!
Have you heard the buzz about Corning’s “Willow Glass”? Just today, the makers of the iPad’s “Gorilla Glass” unveiled their brand new product to the world and our collective jaw here at MaxBack dropped to the floor! This new product is ultra-thin and flexible, as shown above.
Willow Glass will soon be utilized in all kinds of new electronics, such as phones, tablets, and other gadgets with touchscreens. It comes by the roll in large sections, so I’m sure the intent is to make beautiful OLED televisions and computer monitors as well.
While it probably won’t be utilized heavily until manufacturers and developers get a good feel for it, we’re excited to see what doors will be opened up by this release. Maybe sometime in the future we’ll have iPads that can be rolled up like newspaper or a curved retina display that can immerse you in its gorgeous detail. The possibilities are endless!
Check out the video below for a closer look at the large sheets of this amazing new glass, and be sure to keep sending in your old cell phones to MaxBack for fast cash toward these new products!
