HTC One X – Full Hands-On Phone Review
Thinking about upgrading to a new phone? We’ve recently released a full video review of HTC’s brand new flagship phone, the One X. This Android phone is currently at the top of the market, competing directly with the Samsung Galaxy S III as well as the iPhone 4S. Watch the video below for a close-up and hands-on review of the One X, and then hit the jump for a detailed list of its specs!
HTC One X specs:
- Android 4.0.3 (Ice Cream Sandwich)
- Processor – dual core (or quad core in some rare versions)
- Memory – 1GB (S III has 2GB)
- 4.7 in. 16:9 display, 720p resolution
- Back-facing camera – 8M
- Front-facing camera – 1.3M
- Storage — HTC says 16GB (I found 12GB of free space)
- Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n
- Bluetooth 4.0
- MicroSD card slot
There are many things that this AT&T phone has going for it; the back camera is fantastic, the touchscreen is quite responsive, and the memory helps process video quite quickly. The phone is also quite thin and the display is incredibly large. Games play great on the device, and music sounds great with the Beats audio enhancer on. As stated in the video, this phone is definitely better than most.
The Verdict?
The HTC One X and the Samsung Galaxy S III are almost identical aside from the difference in RAM and the processor, as well as the presence of a MicroSD card slot in the S III. If you want a shiny new android phone, but don’t quite care for expandable storage and the most powerful processor, the One X can serve your purposes quite well. If you’re going between this phone and the iPhone 4S however, you already know what you want. There’s really no competition with an iPhone in terms of style or power.
Keep an eye out for a review and comparison of the One X’s competitor, the S III, in the near future! As you upgrade, don’t forget to send in your old phone for some quick cash towards the HTC One X or Samsung Galaxy S III!

Matt thank you for your great review!
